Introduction The Municipal Museum of Funchal (Natural History) pretends to offer every visitor some knowledge about the fauna, flora and geology of Madeira’s archipelago through a permanent exhibition with built-up and preserved specimen and a salt-water aquarium. The institution also pretends to help the National and International community by providing them the necessary means for the progress of scientific study about the Natural History of Madeira’s Archipelago and the Macaronesian Region. The museum is integrated in the Science Department of Funchal City Hall, entity that is in charge and finances the Museum.
